Controlling Bermudagrass Online Course Overview

The very traits that make bermudagrass an excellent turfgrass, unfortunately, make it a very problematic weed in home gardens. This may lead a gardener to ask “How can I control bermudagrass in my garden?” This course will provide options for eradicating or suppressing bermudagrass in a home garden plot.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain why bermudagrass is so difficult to control.
  • Identify treatment options for controlling bermudagrass.
  • Define key terms related to bermudagrass control.
  • Describe best practices for using chemical and mechanical suppression methods.
  • Assess specific treatment options based on best practices, gardener's needs and preferences. 

Course Outline

You can work on this course any time, 24/7 for up to 60 days. You will watch videos, engage in learning activities and take quizzes. The course is divided into four modules, which can be completed at your own pace. Each module should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

To complete the course, you must access all pages and earn at least 80% on all assessments. A certificate will be available to download after the course is completed.
