Molecular Plant Breeding

The course describes basic molecular techniques and tools used in modern plant breeding. Major topics covered include the concepts of genetic maps, QTL discovery and mapping, development of molecular markers and marker-assisted selection, and the techniques of genetic manipulation for crop improvement including genome editing technology.
